How we have helped our clients

Improving access to mental health services

When a magic circle law firm needed help improving access to high-level mental health services that matched the particular needs of its workplace, we designed an integrated mental health service that included preventative and strategic elements. Results included:

  • improved responsiveness of care – average first appointment within seven days;
  • improved engagement around mental health at all levels within the organisation;
  • 70% of employees return to work as a result of treatment.

Reducing long-term Income Protection claims due to mental health

A large multinational investment house needed help reducing the financial and human cost of long-term Income Protection claims due to mental health. We implemented an in-house, high-level mental health service integrated with occupational health which included preventative strategies. Results included:

  • improved intervention timelines (over 90% accessing treatment prior to being off sick);
  • substantial improvements in long-term absence due to mental health and associated IP claims;
  • significantly improved recovery rates.

Increasing awareness of mental health issues amongst male employees

A major industrial company was concerned about rates of mental ill health amongst male employees and found this was a difficult audience to reach when talking about mental health. We provided a bespoke training programme with content specific to the organisation's immediate need for mental health awareness training, with a focus on the issues that can prevent men from talking about mental health difficulties. Results included:

  • successful delivery of 21 workshops across 11 sites, delivered both onsite and remote to support the full target audience and match user preferences;
  • 200 employees attended and engaged in the workshops;
  • received highly positive feedback from the employees and the organisation’s management team.

Navigating Trauma in the Workplace

The challenge

In a leading chain of supermarkets, employees are exposed to traumatic incidents on a regular basis. Both employees and managers are eager to learn how to cope with the impact of such events on their mental health.

The solution

Our project has focused on rolling out workshops designed to increase knowledge and understanding of the impact of trauma, and to empower managers in how to support their employees. Our overall aim is to help managers foster a psychologically safe working environment whilst feeling armed with the skills and awareness to cope with distressing and traumatic events in an effective and compassionate manner, and to know how to get the right support for their staff, and themselves.

Thanks to the workshops, as a team we were able to share our collective experiences and issues that we are facing in stores. I was also able to link a lot of the content to my personal life.

Working for us

Being clinically led ensures our values remain focused on the patient, we do things the right way and never lose sight of the fact that, as clinicians, our primary aim is to help people get better, stay better and live better.
