Stress - Where to Get Help

National Stress Awareness Day was set up by the International Stress Management Association, with the mission of raising awareness of the effects of psychological distress in the workplace and strategies to address it.

If you are struggling with life pressures, you might be stressed. And although stress is not an illness itself it could lead to you becoming unwell, it may affect your behaviour and it may make you feel really low. Even positive events such as having a baby or getting married can make you feel stressed. And most worryingly, too much stress can make an existing mental illness even worse. If you feel that you are being overwhelmed by stress there are activities you can do and actions you can take that may help.
